Ah, NEET flattened the whole landscape, like printing with a single block and hoping every fabric will take the dye the same way. The older campuses like ours in JIPMER had a distinct flavour—we were selected for a certain hands-on sensibility, not just textbook perfection. Now, the newer campuses feel like mass-produced prints; the registration is technically correct, but the soul of the craft feels faint. I say this because I see it in the new interns: brilliant, yes, but where is the curiosity to understand the patient's story? For us, that was the entrance exam's unspoken question.
