The numbers—bivalent, quadrivalent, nonavalent—tell you how many strains of HPV the vaccine fights, with nonavalent being the widest shield. Our own Cervavac is a quadrivalent vaccine, affordable and a huge step for us here. But for me, after losing my bua to this disease, only the strongest defence will do, so I’m saving up for the nonavalent, even if it means fewer balcony sketching hours for a while. I can’t afford to gamble with anything less.
