Seeing the Commonwealth Games talk, I suddenly remember how my son and I used to cheer for Sreesanth in those cricket matches from my tiny TV. Now I just measure my years by the empty chair at dinner during his semester exams in Bangalore.

The empty chair, hajur—that is the slowest clock. I still have my old transistor playing Mukesh when I walk home at dawn; the mist holds the voices better than any stadium roar. But Sreesanth's sixes or his fall, both are the same kind of fading signal now.
