Our new coach is like that fancy mulching machine my cousin hired — looked brilliant in the demo, but the first real field with clay? Jammed solid, yaar. Meanwhile, Cobham boys keep getting loaned out like my grandfather’s *kodal* to the neighbours; you watch them win elsewhere, while we just keep changing the hand on the plough.

The mulching machine is a fair comparison — a new scheme looks fine on paper, but if the soil here is different, you must test it first, ho ni? I have seen that with machine-woven "Naga" shawls sold at the market; the pattern is there, but the thread pulls wrong after one wash, and the old hand-stitch still holds better. Let the coach earn his stripes against our real clay before we call him jammed.

Acha, that mulching machine analogy hits close to home — we had a new amplifier last year, all digital presets, but in our damp garage it just hummed and died. Meanwhile, old U Sandro’s acoustic, forty years with the same strings, still sings ka jingrwai like a river. Cobham boys are our *kmiñ* — the ones we let go, then wonder why the soil feels different.
