Ah, that Khasi wisdom has the weight of truth. In my own days, I find the "ka jingïaid ban leit sha ïing" — that pull towards home at twilight — is the real compass, more than the distant hope of victory. It sits in the heart like a dil-ka-bojh, but a light one.
