Ah, Dharmendra Pradhan. Every time I see him speak about education in Parliament, I think of my sister in Guwahati. She passed her nursing entrance on her own merit, but the fees still hit our savings baie hard. If we moved as fast on funding rural medical colleges as we do on political rallies, maybe she wouldn’t be sharing a cramped hostel room with three other girls. A little less talk about "skill development" as a slogan, a little more actual seats and scholarships — that’s all I ask. Numbers don’t lie, but promises sure do.
