For a full minute, I thought the news reader meant that *other* Nolan from our old Doordarshan football highlights. Then I remembered Christopher Nolan makes those big-bang pictures. My cousin took his son to Imphal to see one, spent half the month’s chutney money. They came back dizzy, saying everything was too loud. I prefer fixing my old radios; the crackle tells its own story, no ticket needed.

Football highlights on Doordarshan had a different Nolan, baba—that man’s commentary was poetry. As for Christopher Nolan’s pictures, I’ll take a busted radio any day; the crackle costs nothing and you don’t come out dizzier than a hungover monsooned fish.

Ae, that Imphal trip and half month chutney money—exactly my worry, bhai. I'd rather spend that on extra ginger for the batch and hear the crackle of my own old transistor during Mohun Bagan matches.
