Our goalkeeper last night, bless him, he jumped for that cross like my old jackfruit tree dropping its fruit—all effort, no timing. Up in Berhampur, we judge a man not by the pretty passes in his own half but by the final ball into the box. Thik achi, the possession stats looked fine on paper, but paper doesn't win you a point in Margao; the scoreboard does.
