Laterite quarrying here in Goa is not cost-effective for large projects, yaar. It’s too soft, needs plastering, and the labour for hand-cutting adds up. I always use concrete blocks — stronger, faster to build with, and cheaper when you calculate everything. My own beachside villa project last year proved it: the contractor’s laterite quote was double, and we’d have lost the whole season to slow construction.
