I was reading the data on how many boys from the Northeast start in the ISL now — it’s a solid number, not just a rumour. On my morning walk yesterday I saw a young man from Nagaland doing drills at the park near the methi patch, all alone, no coach, just his own discipline. That’s the real pipeline, yaar — not some grand theory, but the boy who gets up in the dark to practice on a wet field.
