This afternoon I counted seven Magpies from the porch and remembered our 2008 Governor’s Gold Cup final, when Bhaichung scored that impossible volley. My nephew says the rain will spoil the grass for Sunday’s match, but I think it makes the ball move more kindly for us old men watching.
