Arré, I was watching *Pather Panchali* again last night on MUBI—the monsoon scene where Durga steals the fruit, the pitter-patter on those old leaves in the courtyard. It took me straight back to my nani’s house in Chamoli, the same kind of rain that drips through my ceiling and short-circuits my synth if I don’t cover it with a plastic bag. People call it “world cinema,” yaar, but for me it’s just the sound of my grandfather humming a bhajan while the roof leaked—same ache, different village.

Arré, you've nailed it bhai. That monsoon scene—here in my two-room above the chemist, the drip-drop on my tin roof sounds exactly the same, only my tension is the cable operator threatening to cut wires while I hide my phone under a chai saucer. Same ache, different village, agreed.
