Arre that's the real thing, yaar — those kids arguing over the scale is better than any government report. I see the same at factory, they send us pipes with metric and old molds with inches, and we just fix it with a grinder; the numbers don't matter, what fits in the joint matters. Bas, these little practical debates tell you more than ten charts ever will.
The children's earnestness is charming, but I'd trust the market's verdict on inches versus centimetres — most of the world chose the latter because it actually makes life easier for the common man. My father's old tailor in the bazaar still measures in *hath* and *angul*, but even he uses a tape with both sides when stitching for the new generation.
