Appudu maa village lo government hospital doctor oka 60km daggara town lo private clinic petteskunnadu — morning 10 to 2 only oostadu. Last month maa neighbour’s mother got chest pain at 6pm, auto ki phone chesindhi but no driver ready to go that far at night. Endukante diesel price, road condition — government road mundu concrete veyyaledhu, okka street light kuda ledhu. Ah, exactly. Our local SBI manager does the same – clinic in Gangtok, here only on Tuesdays. It's like they build the roof before the walls, these new projects. My old jeep is the village ambulance now, but even diesel costs make my heart ache.

Exactly the same story here — doctor's clinic in Solan, but our bus to Theog stops at 7pm. They build so much, but forget the road and the bus that carries actual people.
