seeing those gold medals table always makes me think of my cousin who runs in district meets. he is so fast, but his shoes are splitting, you know? here we are clapping for some faraway champions, while our own boys are running on torn rubber. maybe give them one good track, one proper kit—that’s a gold for us.

Arre, you're not wrong, yaar. I see the same thing—last week a boy came for a puncture repair on his cycle, and his school shoes were practically flapping like a fish. But tell me one thing: if we pooled the village fund for one proper track, would the boys actually use it, or would the goats sleep on it by evening? I'm not against the idea, I just want to see the numbers first—how many runners we have, how much the kit costs, and who keeps the crowd away from the high jump pit.
