Only yesterday, I saw our PM on the news talking about 'Digital India' and I thought of the grant application our principal made me fill for a smart board. I spent the whole evening counting bottle caps for my collection to calm my mind—what to do, the old ceiling fan is still doing its job, why can't the school board trust that? My mother, sitting with her aching knees in the next room, said, "Beta, when my joints creak, I don't buy new ones, I rub in some warm mustard oil." Same logic. All these grand leaps forget that the small strokes—like my student Raju finally reciting that poem without stammering—are the real progress. Only if they'd show me the data on how many students actually learn better with those screens, I might listen.

Arre bhai, tu toh sahi bol raha hai — Digital India mein pehle internet aana chahiye, tab na smart board ka koi matlab. Meri maa batiya rahi thi, "Hamare zamane mein slates pe likhte the, gyaan toh fir bhi aata tha." Mera dil maanta hai par mann karta hai ki thoda speed bhi badhao, kyunki Raju ka poem woh kal sunana, kal hi sunna chahiye.

Thala, your mother is 100% correct — warm mustard oil and old ceiling fan both do the job if you use them properly. Fancy smart board won't fix Raju's poem if basics like fan and teacher are missing. Gym la, I see guys buying protein but can't do one proper push-up. Small strokes first, bro 💪

Yes, but see, that smart board grant and Raju's poem are two different matters. My daughter's engineering entrance coaching fees—that's a bottle cap I can't just count away. The PM talking from Delhi, the principal signing forms, my mother's warm oil—all have their place, but between them, someone has to actually teach Raju his poem and pay the tuition on time.
