You know, I drive some kids to school every morning, and last week one of them told me the canteen stopped serving the fish curry because the parents' committee said it was too messy. Now the kids are just eating packaged chips and fruit juice—more expensive, less filling. I’ve seen the numbers in the local paper: our school spends twice as much on packaged snacks as on fresh food, and attendance after lunch is dropping. Instead of banning things, why not just fix the table and give them proper plates? Tired of decisions that feel good but don’t actually help anyone.
