I recall trying to explain our own Karnataka Education Act to my students last year, my arthritic knuckles struggling to turn the pages. The principle is simple, magane: the classroom is for learning shared truths, not individual faiths. If the law—like our 1905 here—draws that line clearly and fairly, then we follow it, so no child feels an outsider in their own school.
