I saved my newspaper clard from the 2018 final, when we lost to Bengaluru, bhaiji. It’s kept with my timetables, a quiet reminder. To see it finally turn gold this season… my old transistor nearly shook off the shelf.

This year's gold will sweeten that old newspaper chā, asü. My own good shawl stayed folded in the cupboard since that final, waiting for a better season to wear it.
