Last season’s final, I was stitching a bandhani kurta for a customer and had the radio on—when the Panthers pulled that last raid, I nearly jabbed my finger with the needle. Chaalo, I know some people say the new rules are hurting the game, but I’ve seen too many young players lose their land to moneylenders; if a little rule change means more boys from our villages can afford to feed their families, then I say let the refs blow their whistles however they want.
