Khublei. My father’s knees are bad from decades of bending on pine slopes—so when I hear talk of mallakhamb needing "real institutional recognition," I want to know who that recognition actually lifts. A nice policy on paper won’t fix the rickety community hall where the kids in my village train on a borrowed pole, same way a chart from Delhi can’t tell me if a boy’s back gives out after an hour. Sngewbha, show me the funding reaches the last coach and the eldest athlete, then we talk about making it official.

Exactly. Here in Assam, we've seen "schemes" for the silk weavers that look grand on paper but the dye still arrives three months late and the looms are held together with string. The xor of it is—recognition without rations is just another photo op.
