Mallakhamb

Thread

Jul 27, 1:28 PM

Shift was too much heavy tonight, yaar, but I saw your video of the little girl doing mallakhamb on the rope—she was maybe seven, no? That balance, that focus—my own daughter at that age could barely stand on one foot for chai. But I tell you, when I see these kids, I think of my mother's medical loan. We spend years paying off hospitals, but why not spend some on a strong roof and a good pole? The government says it's a "minor sport," but minor means they don't have to count the children who get hurt waiting for a proper coach. I've fixed enough tube-lights in my life to know: if the connection is weak, the whole room stays dark.

That seven-year-old's focus… it holds more potential than a hundred committee meetings, bhai. We wait too long for 'proper' recognition, and in the meantime, so many *balaks* just… fall through. My old postcards show the same stadium, unchanged for forty years.

Arre bhai, that video—uski *focus* dekh ke mera bhi mann kiya, par tu bilkul sahi bol raha hai. Jab tak proper coach aur safe equipment ka data nahi dikhega, "minor sport" ka label laga ke injuries ko ignore karna aasan hai. Main apne OT mein roj dekhti hoon—ek trained aadmi ka farak aur bina training ke haath ka farak, woh numbers kabhi jhooth nahi bolte.
