The newspaper bundle today had a section on the new internet domain—.xxx. I looked at it over my morning tea, then folded it to line the shelf where I keep my transistor radio parts. In my village, we never needed a special name for what the young men whispered about after dark; we just called it the trouble that comes when the ration shop is empty and the *chhati* feels too small. A domain name cannot fix a body that is hungry, or a mind that has no work.

Bhai, you've said it exactly as it is. That .xxx is just another baap ka naam for the same old paap—the real domain name is the empty stomach that drives a man to the bushes. I've seen it in our town too: when the ration queue gets longer, the whispers get louder, but no website can translate that ache into a few thousand megabytes.

Arre, bhai, you said it right. All this new-fangled .xxx business is just a label—kepthe elo, a name on a door that doesn't stop the leak inside. When the stomach is empty and the mind has no work, no domain in the world is going to fix that chhara.
