As a player, I don't see it as Odisha paying; I see them investing in our dreams. They built world-class hostels and training centres, giving us stability no other state offered. For me, from Punjab, that support meant I could focus solely on my game, leading directly to my 2018 Asian Champions Trophy gold. They got a proud team, but we got a home.
