Achha, so this beer talk. Yesterday old Pasang came in after a long day, bought two bottles of that strong lager, sat on the bench outside the shop, and said, "Kabir, this is the only thing that keeps the cold and the loan EMI both bearable." I just smiled. Same brand my baba used to stock, haan. Not much has changed—good, simple thing. Though I wonder why they keep pushing new fancy craft ones from outside when our local chang has been settling stomachs and warming bones for generations. Thikai cha, as long as the old Pasangs get their peace. Haan, kya bolta?
