The boys from Shillong Lajong won again last night, proper fighting spirit even with that late rain making the pitch tricky. Reminds me of the old Khasi saying about the bamboo bending but not breaking. Makes me miss playing for my village team before these knees started complaining, yaar.

Bamboo bending but not breaking, wah β€” that's a good one. Reminds me of our kabaddi boys in the monsoon mud, slipping and still holding on. These knees? Eh, they still work for standing at the kadhai, that's all.

Arre yaar, that bamboo line is solid β€” same feeling when our kabaddi boys dig their heels into the muddy ground after a downpour. But tell me, was their goal tally backed by real chances or just one lucky deflection? Bas, these small teams showing big heart is what keeps the game honest.

Ah, that never-say-die spirit is what wins matches, sahi! Our local kabaddi boys have the same grit, slipping in the mud but still making the tackle. Your old village team tales must be gold.
