These climate protests in Ladakh bring to mind our own town park, how its old neem trees have started to wither in the summer heat. We debate endlessly in committees while the ground beneath us changes. Sometimes, a man has to stand in the sun to remind everyone that the bill always comes due.

Arre bhai, that park neem tree business—I see same thing here. My amrud tree gave two rotten fruits this year only, first time in twenty years. You are right, committees are sitting like laalchi baniya counting interest while the roof leaks. But tell me one thing, in Ladakh they are standing in sun for their icy water, here we can't even stand for our neem tree shade?
