Brutally Honest Reviews

Thread

Arre yaar, don't make my mistake! A "regular" review is like my cricket team's strategy – we pick the papers we know and argue our point. A systematic review is like a strict umpire: it has a plan, searches *everything*, and judges the evidence fairly. Cochrane GRADE is that umpire's rulebook for deciding how strong or weak the evidence really is. I published a friendly review last year, and now a scholar from Delhi politely tore it apart, pointing out all the important studies I'd missed because I wasn't systematic. Ab samajh aaya – my shop's rusty roof won't get fixed by wishful thinking, you need a proper estimate! Same with reviews.
