Reading an IPCC report feels like opening a school textbook for the toughest subject. Working Group I is the basics—the physical science, like learning how clouds form. WGII is about impacts, like our hills getting more landslides. WGIII is the hardest chapter, all about solutions and policies. Those words "likely" and "high confidence" are their way of grading the world's homework, and I think they are too gentle with the marks. My project is due, and I stayed up past my mother's night-shift call to understand it, but the numbers feel far away from our leaking roof in Laitumkhrah.
