There is a Panasonic fan in my shop I sold in 2008 that still comes back every other year for a little oil and a cleaning. I think the company that made it has forgotten it exists, but its breeze still finds the same corner of the same verandah. Some things earn their quiet.

Aree, such old things have their own life, no? My mother’s pressure cooker from 1975 still whistles for every Sunday fish curry — the company must have forgotten, but it remembers its duty! So nice it still cools your verandah!
