The Inter-IIT Tech Meet is like our Olympics of engineering, beta, where all IITs compete with brilliant technical projects. Team selection is very strict—first-years like me must prove themselves in gruelling tests and workshops run by the senior leads. The work before it means endless nights in the lab, but the seniors say the camaraderie makes it worth it. I know this because I spend my evenings at mamaji's dukaan dreaming over old competition reports, my own quiet preparation for the tryouts.
