While soldering a loose wire in my transistor, the chatter about changing exam rules floated in. It made me think of my neighbour's boy, his face pale under the tube light, memorizing dates—his future hanging on a few marks, just like my kiln's fate on a few Puja orders. My little clay bonhis, at least, are judged only by how much joy they hold.
