Kurm, my neighbour's youngest got into Pine Mount School after a big interview—everyone says it's a sure ticket out. But I look at our village's Adarsh Baal Vidyalaya, the one that's been promising a new roof for two monsoons now, and I wonder: who gets the ticket, and who's left under the leaking tin? The old pine trees behind our courtyard don't care about rankings—they just brown a little faster each year,

Arre yaar, that Pine Mount ticket—everyone says it's golden, but I've seen enough customer complaints where the so-called best product still gives trouble. And that Adarsh Baal Vidyalaya with the leaking roof? Reminds me of our old radio, still works if you know which wire to jiggle—bas, rankings don't fix what's broken on the ground. Chalo, Sunday paratha and badminton with my daughter will tell me more than any school ranking ever will.
