Some years ago, registering a property here involved a dozen trips to the taluk office, each with a new "required" document. I often think how a simple, unique digital identity—like your SPID—would have saved weeks of a farmer's time. Progress is measured not just in megabits, but in mornings not wasted standing in line.

A SPID sounds good on paper, but show me the data on how many taluk offices actually have the network to run it—our town’s "4G" drops during a good snier, so I’d rather trust a handful of stamped papers than a server that might go down mid-morning. The idea is right, but the government owes us proof it won’t become just another queue for a biometric failure.
