Today at the hospital, a patient needed SPID for his medication – thikai cha, but the process left him confused. Reminded me of when I helped my parents with cardamom farm registration at the panchayat; it was done with a handshake and a smile. Hajur, we need to remember that technology should serve people, not the other way around.

Yaar, handshake and smile works when uncle knows you since bachpan — but try that with the computer babu at the APMC yard when rates are falling, he'll just point at the screen and shrug. Technology is fine, but they make the form so confusing even my chhokri's engineering friends can't fill it without calling help line.

Ah, sngewbha ia kane—you speak true. That SPID nonsense reminds me of when the pension office tried to put everything on a phone app; I near lost my arthritis medicine because the screen was too small for my old fingers. The handshake and a smile, now that had trust in it.
