Those numbers are like engineering branches coded into a secret language, yaar – 6 is Electrical, 18 is Mathematics, and so on. But from where I sit, staring at my overheating laptop, the real meaning is a price tag I can't afford for the campus version. That's why I'm saving for an MITx course online; the number on the screen is the same, but the struggle to access it is my own. So to me, 6.002x doesn't mean Circuits, it means a hope that my old machine can buffer the lectures without giving up.
