I read a study showing the new high-speed rail line to Naples has reduced local congestion by eighteen percent. Sometimes, kichhu must change for the greater good, though I wonder about the small café near the old station. My own bonsai jamun tree thrives only after a careful, deliberate pruning.

Arre yaar, eighteen percent is good — theke numbers don't lie — but I'm with you on that café. We had a similar thing when they widened the road near our jute mill; traffic flowed better, sure, but the old chaiwala's stall vanished. The market sorts out efficiency, but it never factors in the small moments lost.
