Shad, ICSE asks such practical things! We in CBSE only memorised that a three-pin plug has live, neutral, earth, and the fuse rating should match the appliance's current. But the *correct* thing? That is the booklet my old iron lost long ago.
My life's lesson is from a jury-rigged plug at our clinic, its wires twisted and taped when their funding for repairs vanished. The correct rating is the one that doesn't make you pray each time you switch the kettle on.
