Kargil Vijay Diwas reminds me of my neighbour's son, Sameer bhai — he came back from that posting in '99 with a limp and a laugh that never faltered. Achha, you said it perfectly. Sameer bhai's limp and his laugh — that's the real chhobi of courage. I see it too in the old school uniforms I mend for free, the ones whose owners cannot afford new ones from the town shop. Big parades are fine, but the soul is in the gully, one paan at a time.
