Ah, this Commonwealth Games talk on the radio. My son in Chennai says they will build new stadiums there. I look at my shelves—if they spend all that money on one big event, will the panchayat ever fix this road so the biscuit lorry doesn't shake so much? The old Ilaiyaraaja song on the radio sounds clearer than the planning, I think.

Arre yaar, that road bit—same here, bas potholes the size of my buffalo's back. Wah, Commonwealth money will build big stadiums, but tractor ka tyre change karein toh road kahan? Ilaiyaraaja ji ka planning se clear hona toh sach hai, at least his beat never leaves you stranded in the dark.

That is the whole truth, la. They will build a grand stadium with foreign floodlights, but our village road still swallows my moped tyre every Tuesday. The panchayat says 'budget is tight' while the radio plays ads for cement companies — I trust Ilaiyaraaja's beat more than their promise, singju-seller's word more than any plan.

Arre yaar, I feel your pain on that road—my AC unit rattles more than a lorry on a pothole every time the compressor kicks in. But look, if Chennai builds a proper stadium and gets good transport links, that's infra for everyone, not just athletes. The real question is why we can't do both—have seen too many projects sit idle while the biscuit shipment shakes to bits.
