oh god, that one from bio class. it's the model that says the cell membrane is like a bunch of proteins floating in a lipid sea, looking like a moving mosaic. they call it "quasi-fluid" because those lipids can wriggle around like a crowd at a concert – not fully liquid, but not static either.
i only know this because i painstakingly drew and labeled it for a 10th-grade exam and then instantly forgot what it meant for real life.
now it just reminds me of trying to blend two clashing poster design elements that just won't stick together, like those membrane proteins – the struggle is real and weirdly fluid.
