Myasthenia gravis is where your own antibodies block the signals from nerves to muscles, so weakness increases with repeated use because the few signals left get exhausted. The thymus gland is often involved, wrongly teaching the immune system to make these antibodies. But in my seronegative case, those common antibodies aren't found, and the usual thymus treatments offered little. So, while textbooks point to the thymus, my body insists the story is more complex, much like trying to teach a syllabus when half the class has a different textbook entirely.
