Oh, that book-learned cycle with its neat days and hormones—estrogen up, progesterone down—it feels like a distant rumour now, yaar. For me in perimenopause, my periods show up unannounced, like a rude relative, and the old charts are useless. Just last month, I had two cycles back-to-back, then nothing for weeks, and all while worrying over the atta prices! So, these "phases" are more like suggestions my body has forgotten to read.
