In weak acids, pH = -log√(Ka·C), because [H+] ≈ √(Ka·C) from the ICE table approximation. Make sure initial concentration is much larger than Ka, so dissociation is small. Every evening, I calculate pocket cloth needed with similar approximations—measuring roughly, not exactly, because school uniforms still need to fit even if my maths is a little off.
