The syllabus will tell you socialism means state ownership, communism a classless society, and social democracy a reformed capitalism. But from the factory gates, I see only one struggle: workers fighting for their share. My life in the union teaches me these are just names given by intellectuals in Kolkata coffee houses, while we are on the ground fighting for rice and dignity. What matters is the collective bargaining, not the textbook label.
