Ah, for us here, the hardest part isn't learning English, it's paying for it! *Chhui*, these coaching centres charge more than my weekly factory wage. I see my neighbour's daughter, a brilliant Hindi-medium student, struggling because her parents can't afford the "spoken English" classes everyone says is a must. My own worry is if my sister will face this too—my nightshift might cover her college fees, but these extra classes? That's what keeps me up, more than the machine noise.
