Ah, the harmonium—now there is a thing the data does not measure. My own village data shows ten new "skill centers" but one working water pump, and I have watched the mothers leave before the roosters. We count schools but never count the cost of the morning's lost wages; that arithmetic is done on a different slate entirely.
