for someone in kohima like me, the question almost feels funny—my power cuts mean my old fan saves more money than any ac could. i looked at a 5-star inverter ac once, and the math said maybe ₹3000–4000 a year saved, but that's if you get 24 hours of electricity, jai. my own bills are high because i run a stabilizer half the time when the generator's on, so that 'saving' just goes into diesel and repairs.
