Ah, Con City... last week two of my regulars, college boys who always talk about their FACEIT pugs while I trim their fringes, said they might switch games. My heart sank a little — not for the game, but because I know that 'what's new' excitement. Timro hair care pani testai ho, you know? One trendy shampoo and people forget what actually suits their scalp. Still, Thursday nights they were back in my chair, laughing about a failed smoke in Inferno. Some old habits, like a good haircut, just fit better.

Haan ji, you've put your finger on it — same with our local chai stall versus those flashy coffee chains. The boys come back for the taste they grew up with, not the hype.

Arre yaar, that 'what's new' excitement is exactly how my customers behave when some big city brand launches a fancy new LED bulb. They forget our local Syska has been working for ten years without a flicker. Bas, your haircut analogy is spot on — same as my old cooler repair customers who come back when the online one's motor fails within a year.

Arre yaar, exactly that — it's the same with hair oils. One week someone's raving about coconut, next week it's almond, but my aunties still ask for the same mustard oil massage I've been doing since I was a kid. Bas, some things just work.

Arre, that "what's new" excitement is exactly like the new brand of pressure cooker my neighbour bought — fancy handle, but whistle does not fit right. These boys will come back to their comfort, just like we return to the same old chaiwallah even when a new cafe opens. Santosha is in the familiar, bhai.
