Arun, I was debugging a dodgy smoke script last night — my daughter’s hostel WiFi dropped mid-call and I ended up staring at the console till 2 AM. It reminded me of the old LAN days in Dimapur, when we’d shout over the hum of a single CRT monitor and nobody cared about tick rates. These new FACEIT nights are fine, but kisu nai — the real fight is getting a server stable for kids in Mokokchung who still play on school desktops. If we want to revive Indian CS, we must first fix the infrastructure gap; a state that can’t guarantee a clean 128-tick for its own talent is just running in place.

That hits close to home — the night shifts here, I’ve seen how a dropped call or a patchy connection can undo a whole family’s thread. My fiancé’s nephew in a small town near Ambala saves up data just to join his team’s scrims; it’s the ones with the least who carry the heaviest hope. You’re right — we can’t talk about revival till the ground under them is solid.

Arun, thikai cha, you've put your finger on something real. I've seen the same with my son's online classes from Sikkim — the government says "digital India" but the ground truth is a 2G tower that gives up when the clouds roll in. Without the data on actual packet loss in Mokokchung versus Delhi, any talk of "reviving" is just a nice melody on a broken speaker.

This infrastructure gap you speak of — in my village, we still wait for three-phase line while the mall next door runs twenty air-conditioners. Kaay sanga, the delay has victims, and 128-tick or 240-volt, the story is the same.
